Mark Rosenthal, creator of EasySSLSetup

BUILT BY A REAL WEBSITE OWNER

I wanted free SSL to be easier than this.

I'm Mark Rosenthal. EasySSLSetup grew out of a real shared-hosting problem: getting a free SSL certificate installed and renewed can be far more complicated than an ordinary website owner expects.

I wanted a tool that explains one thing at a time, avoids command-line instructions, and turns technical certificate work into a setup that normal people can follow.

WHY I BUILT IT

The goal is simple: less SSL jargon, fewer chances to get stuck.

1

Start with the real problem

Shared-hosting customers can end up doing certificate work manually even when the certificate itself is free.

2

Make the hard parts understandable

EasySSLSetup is designed around plain-English checks, guided setup, and clear recovery instead of cryptic server errors.

3

Test before calling it ready

The project has been built in controlled stages. The Testing page shows what has passed, what has been reviewed, and what still belongs in public beta.

INDEPENDENT PROJECT

EasySSLSetup is its own project.

EasySSLSetup is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GoDaddy, cPanel, or Let's Encrypt. Those names are used only to explain compatibility and the systems the software is designed to work with.

The project test results shown on this site are internal controlled test evidence, not a third-party certification or guarantee.
