BEGINNER EXPLANATION

What is the temporary hosting token?

🔑

Think of a token as a temporary key you create inside your hosting control panel. It gives EasySSLSetup limited permission to do the SSL setup without asking for your normal cPanel password.

1. EasySSLSetup tells you exactly where to click in your hosting dashboard.

2. You create the temporary token and paste it into the setup screen.

3. EasySSLSetup uses that temporary permission on your hosting account to check that everything is ready and, when one-click activation is available, complete the approved SSL setup.

4. When setup is finished, you can remove the temporary token.

Good to know: the current public GoDaddy wizard does not ask for this token yet. The newer one-click setup shown in Product Preview will guide you through creating it with simple, click-by-click instructions.
